Aim Low But Up
What you aim at determines what you see and where you go, whether you aim up or down. Regardless of which direction you aim at, the momentum that you build will compound. As long as you are aiming up, not matter how low, you will start improving your life and make progress.
There are two modes of being. One is adopting responsibility for living and being properly, and making the sacrifices needed. The other is becoming resentful and bitter. There is a direct causal relationship between what you do and the direction and steepness of that incline. Aim low but up, and everything will flourish properly.
Regardless of your circumstances, there will always be something you can do, no matter how trivial, that can result in some kind of improvement. Set yourself a small goal that you can obtain, even if it is not glorious. This is better than nothing - better than being bitter and blaming others.
If you aim to make things better, then things will get better, and your world becomes bigger the more you do this. Start with small steps to build momentum. Compare yourself to who you were yesterday and not to who someone else is today. As you take incremental steps on the long journey, the habits that you build will compound on you. Proper being is process.
